How Many Memo Matrix Capsules Should You Take a Day?

Written by the MemoMatrix editorial team · Medically reviewed by Dr. Collin Liu, MD, Physician · Reviewed · 7 min read

Quick answerThe full Memo Matrix label says take 2 capsules daily with an 8 oz glass of water, best 20 to 30 minutes before a meal. A second panel that circulates lists 1 capsule as the serving. Follow the serving size printed on your own bottle, never take more, and ask a doctor first if you take medicine.

The label

How many capsules does the full Memo Matrix label say to take?

Two capsules a day. The direction line on the full label (code REV.11/25) reads: "As a dietary supplement, take two (2) capsules daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. For best results, take 20-30 min before a meal or as directed by your healthcare professional."

That one sentence holds three rules. First, the serving is two capsules. Second, it comes with a full glass of water. Third, the best gap before eating is 20 to 30 minutes. The label does not say why that gap helps.

The same label also says not to exceed the recommended dose. So two capsules is the ceiling, not a starting point. If a day goes badly, the answer is never to add extra capsules to make up for it.

Two panels

Is the serving 1 capsule or 2?

It depends on the bottle. A second Supplement Facts image lists a serving of one capsule. The sales page directions say two capsules daily. The only list that counts for you is the one printed on your own bottle.

Directions from each source, read October 13, 2026. If your bottle matches none of these, follow the bottle and ask the order desk.

Find the line that begins "Serving Size." It is the fastest check. If it reads 2 capsules, follow the full-label routine. If it reads 1 capsule, you hold the second panel, which lists caffeine and huperzine A inside a 151 mg blend. Do not double that serving.

Timing

When is the best time to take it?

The full label points to the time before a meal. Many people pick breakfast, because a daily meal is an easy anchor for a habit. Any meal that you eat every day will do.

  • Keep the bottle next to the coffee maker or the kettle, where you will see it.
  • Take the capsules, then start making your meal. By the time you sit down, the gap is nearly over.
  • Work nights? Use the first meal after you wake. A steady pattern beats a fixed hour.
  • If your panel lists caffeine, take it early so it stays clear of bedtime.

None of this is a rule from the label beyond the 20 to 30 minute gap. It is plain habit advice.

Every day?

Can you take Memo Matrix every day?

The label is written for daily use. "Take two capsules daily" is the whole direction. It gives no rest days and no cycle.

The label is silent on how long to carry on. Most bacopa trials ran for 12 weeks, so that is one length researchers have looked at (Pase et al., 2012). No study of Memo Matrix itself has been published. Ask your doctor how long a run makes sense for you.

A daily habit also needs a way to track. A weekly pill box is the simplest tool. Fill it once, and an empty slot tells you the day is done. This also stops double doses.

Missed days

What if you miss a day?

Skip the missed serving and go back to your usual routine. Never double up. The label says not to exceed the recommended dose, and two servings in one day would break that rule.

What to do when you notice a missed day.
When you noticeWhat to do
Mid-morningTake your normal serving before lunch, then return to your usual time tomorrow
In the eveningLet it go, above all if your panel lists caffeine
The next dayTake one normal serving only and leave the missed day blank
After a week or moreRestart at the serving on your panel. No label asks for a loading dose
With what?

Can you take it with coffee, food or other pills?

The full label mentions only water. It does not say anything about coffee. If your bottle carries the panel with caffeine from green coffee bean, extra coffee adds to a caffeine amount that is not printed. Keep your cup small, or skip it, while you learn how you react.

The label also does not say you can open the capsules or mix them into a drink. Swallow them whole with water unless a pharmacist tells you otherwise.

Other pills deserve a check. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before the first dose if you take donepezil, rivastigmine or galantamine, an antidepressant, a blood thinner, blood pressure medicine, diabetes medicine or thyroid medicine. Huperzine A, on two of the three lists, acts on the same enzyme as donepezil (MSKCC, Huperzia serrata).

The bottle

How long does one bottle last?

About 30 days. The full label lists 60 capsules at two a day. The second panel lists 30 servings of one capsule. Both come to about a month.

There is a small mismatch to know about. Photos in the brand pack show 30 capsules, yet the full label says 60. We use the label figure in our math. If the count on the front and the serving on the back do not add up to about a month on your bottle, take a photo of both sides and ask the order desk before you start.

The label asks you to keep the bottle away from heat, light and humidity, in a cool, dry place. A shelf away from the oven and the sink works better than a bathroom cabinet. Keep it out of the reach of children, and do not use a bottle whose safety seal is damaged or missing.

Ask first

Who should ask a professional before taking any dose?

The label names three groups: pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18 and people with a known medical condition. Each should talk to a physician first. We would add people who are sensitive to caffeine and anyone whose memory trouble is new or growing.

Not FDA approved

MemoMatrix is a dietary supplement. It is not FDA approved, and no supplement is. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Memory loss that disrupts daily life needs a doctor (NIA, Memory problems and aging).

Our view

Our view

The dose on the full label is easy to follow: two capsules, one glass of water, a short gap before a meal. We like that. What we do not like is that a second panel says one capsule, which makes a plain question harder than it should be.

Our advice is to read the serving size before anything else and to stick to it. Do not double up, do not mix labels and do not skip the pharmacist if you take other medicine. A simple routine is the safest one.
