MemoMatrix Ingredients: What Is in Each 2-Capsule Serving
Quick answerThe full MemoMatrix label lists five ingredients in each 2-capsule serving.
They are BCAAs 540 mg, Bacopa monnieri 200 mg, Rhodiola rosea 100 mg, L-theanine 100 mg and Panax ginseng 90 mg. A second panel names other items, such as caffeine and huperzine A, so check the panel on your bottle.

Why does MemoMatrix come with three ingredient lists?
Three different lists circulate under the MemoMatrix name. One is a full printed label with the revision code REV.11/25. One is a second Supplement Facts image. The third is a list on the sales page with no amounts.
We treat the full label as the main one, because it prints every amount and a distributor block. Still, the panel on your own bottle is the only list that counts. The which formula page shows how to tell them apart.

What does the full label put in each serving?
The full label lists five ingredients in a 2-capsule serving. Each line has its own amount, so nothing hides in a blend. Tap a card to read about that ingredient.

- Bacopa Monnieri Extract 200 mg
- Rhodiola Rosea Extract 100 mg
- L-Theanine 100 mg
- Panax Ginseng Extract 90 mg
The brand's “Inside MemoMatrix” graphic, shown at the top of this page, names bacopa, rhodiola with 3% salidroside, L-theanine and Panax ginseng. That matches the full label. It leaves out the BCAAs, even though they are the heaviest line.
BCAAs: the heaviest line on the full label
BCAA stands for branched-chain amino acids. The label lists L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine in a 2:1:1 ratio, 540 mg in all. That is more than half of the serving by weight.
BCAAs come from sports nutrition. In exercise studies, about 7 to 10 g lowered how tired people felt mentally during hard effort (Blomstrand, 2006). Nobody has tested them for memory in people at rest. The label amount is roughly 5 to 8% of those exercise doses.
Bacopa monnieri: the one herb on every list
Bacopa is the only herb that shows up on all three lists. The full label gives 200 mg of extract. The second panel tucks it into a 151 mg blend at 20% bacosides, with no single amount.
The recall studies we cite gave volunteers 300 to 450 mg daily over 12 weeks (Pase et al., 2012). Our Bacopa monnieri page covers doses, timing and side effects.
What does rhodiola rosea add?
Rhodiola is a root extract used for tiredness and stress. The full label lists 100 mg standardized to 3% salidroside. It also sits in the second panel's blend and on the sales page.
The evidence is thin. NCCIH finds the research too weak to back rhodiola for any health purpose (NCCIH, Rhodiola). A review of 11 trials found contradictory results with a high risk of bias (Ishaque et al., 2012). Memorial Sloan Kettering lists possible clashes with mood medicines, anticoagulants, pressure pills and stimulant drugs (MSKCC, Rhodiola).
L-theanine: a tea amino acid at half the usual dose
L-theanine is an amino acid found in tea. The full label lists 100 mg. The sales page names it with no amount, and the second panel leaves it out.
Most studies used 200 mg (Gerolymos et al., 2026). In one 4-week trial, 30 healthy adults took 200 mg a day with no side effects reported (Hidese et al., 2019). Paired with a sleeping pill or other sedative, theanine could deepen the sleepiness (MSKCC, L-Theanine).
Panax ginseng: on the full label only
Panax ginseng, also called Asian or Korean ginseng, appears only on the full label, at 90 mg. Cochrane reviewers pooled nine trials and could not find convincing gains in thinking for healthy adults (Geng et al., 2010 (Cochrane)).
In a lab study, single doses of 200 and 400 mg lowered blood glucose (Reay et al., 2005). Insomnia is the most common side effect, and ginseng may affect blood sugar and clotting (NCCIH, Asian Ginseng). If you take diabetes medicine or a blood thinner, ask your doctor first.
What does the second panel list instead?

A second Supplement Facts image describes a very different capsule. The serving is 1 capsule. It lists three B vitamins with amounts, then a 151 mg proprietary blend.
The blend holds seven items: caffeine from green coffee bean, L-tyrosine, theacrine, theobromine, bacopa, rhodiola root and a Huperzia serrata extract with 1% huperzine A. No single amount is printed. The Supplement Facts page shows that panel line by line.
What are the B vitamin amounts on the second panel?
The second panel lists vitamin B1 at 6 mg, B6 at 8.5 mg and B12 at 24 mcg. These are 500% to 1000% of the Daily Value. The full label lists no vitamins at all.
Adults need 2.4 mcg of B12 a day (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12). Low B12 can cause confusion and memory trouble, and a simple blood test can check it. Adults need 1.3 to 1.7 mg of B6, and the upper limit is 100 mg a day (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). The 8.5 mg here is well under that limit.
How much caffeine is in MemoMatrix?
It depends on the list. The full label lists no caffeine. The second panel lists caffeine from green coffee bean, plus theacrine and theobromine, two compounds related to caffeine.
The caffeine amount is not printed. We only know the whole blend weighs 151 mg. For healthy adults, 400 mg a day is not generally linked to dangerous effects, but sensitivity varies (FDA, How much caffeine is too much?). If your panel lists caffeine, count your coffee and tea too, and take it early in the day.
Why does huperzine A need extra care?
Taking donepezil or a similar drug?
Huperzine A comes from a club moss, Huperzia serrata. It is on the second panel and the sales page, not on the full label. It blocks the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, the same way donepezil works.
Taking both may raise the risk of side effects (MSKCC, Huperzia serrata). Donepezil is a prescription Alzheimer's medicine (MedlinePlus, Donepezil). Show the bottle to the prescriber first. The huperzine A page explains more.
Ginkgo biloba and lion's mane: named on the sales page only
Ginkgo biloba
In the GEM trial, over 3,000 older adults took ginkgo or a placebo for about 6 years with no difference in dementia rates (NCCIH, Ginkgo). It may raise bleeding risk with blood thinners.
Read the ginkgo pageLion's mane
A 41-person pilot trial found one faster test result an hour after a dose, and no effect on word recall (Docherty et al., 2023).
Read the lion's mane pagePhosphatidylserine: listed, but not reviewed here
Phosphatidylserine is a compound found in cell membranes. The sales page names it, but neither printed panel we have seen includes it. We found no source we could verify for its use in memory, so we do not review it here. Ask your doctor before you rely on it.
What is alpha-GPC?
Alpha-GPC is a choline compound. It appears only on the sales page, with no amount. WebMD says its benefits for healthy adults are unclear (WebMD, Alpha-GPC). The same source mentions an upset stomach and research tying long-term use to a higher stroke risk.
Honest note: are the full-label amounts near study doses?
| Ingredient | MemoMatrix (per serving) | Doses used in studies | Gap | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Branched Chain Amino Acids | 540 mg | 7-10 g during hard exercise (mental tiredness) | About 5-8% | (Blomstrand, 2006) |
| Bacopa Monnieri Extract | 200 mg | 300-450 mg a day for 12 weeks | About two-thirds of 300 mg | (Pase et al., 2012) |
| Rhodiola Rosea Extract | 100 mg (3% salidroside) | 100-576 mg a day for up to 4 weeks | Low end of the studied range | (Ishaque et al., 2012) |
| L-Theanine | 100 mg | 200 mg in most studies | Half of 200 mg | (Gerolymos et al., 2026) |
| Panax Ginseng Extract | 90 mg | 200-400 mg single doses in lab tests | Under half of 200 mg | (Reay et al., 2005) |
Mostly not. Bacopa sits at about two-thirds of the lowest studied dose, and L-theanine at half. No study of MemoMatrix itself has been published, and no supplement has proof of preventing dementia (NCCIH, Supplements for cognitive function). When forgetting starts to upset everyday life, book a medical visit (NIA, Memory problems and aging). Warning signs by ingredient are on the side effects page.
MemoMatrix ingredients FAQ: what people search
What goes into a MemoMatrix capsule?
Per 2-capsule serving, the REV.11/25 label prints five lines: 540 mg of BCAAs, 200 mg of bacopa, 100 mg each of rhodiola and L-theanine, and 90 mg of Panax ginseng. Two other lists name different ingredients, so read the panel on your bottle.
Is there any stimulant in MemoMatrix?
The full label lists no caffeine. A second panel lists caffeine from green coffee bean inside a 151 mg blend, with no caffeine amount printed.
Does MemoMatrix have huperzine A in it?
It depends on the version. Huperzine A is on the second panel and the sales page but not on the full label. Anyone taking donepezil or a similar drug should ask the prescriber first.
What bacopa dose does each MemoMatrix serving give?
Two capsules of the full-label version supply 200 mg of the extract. The second panel puts bacopa in a 151 mg blend with no single amount.
Why would a focus capsule contain sports amino acids?
The brand does not say. BCAAs were studied for mental tiredness during hard exercise at 7 to 10 g, and the full label lists 540 mg.
Is there ginkgo or lion's mane in MemoMatrix?
Only the sales page names them. Neither appears on the full label or the second panel image, and no amount is given anywhere.
Does MemoMatrix hide amounts in a blend?
The full label does not; every line has its own amount. The second panel does, with seven items sharing one 151 mg total.
Is MemoMatrix free of allergens?
The full label says “Contains No Allergens.” Its other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose capsule and magnesium stearate.
Could any MemoMatrix ingredient clash with my prescriptions?
Huperzine A, rhodiola, Panax ginseng, bacopa and caffeine all have known interaction concerns. Bring your bottle to your doctor or pharmacist before the first dose.
