Is Memo Matrix Stimulant Free? It Depends on the Panel

Written by the MemoMatrix editorial team · Medically reviewed by Dr. Collin Liu, MD, Physician · Reviewed · 6 min read

Quick answerIt depends on the panel. The full Memo Matrix label lists no caffeine or other stimulant line. A second panel lists caffeine, theacrine, theobromine and L-tyrosine inside a 151 mg blend, with no single amount. Read the serving size on your bottle: 2 capsules points to the full label, 1 capsule to the second panel.

The short answer

Is Memo Matrix really stimulant free?

You cannot answer for the name alone. Three ingredient lists circulate under Memo Matrix, and they do not agree on stimulants. One has none that we can see. One has several. One names no amounts at all, so it tells you nothing.

"Stimulant free" is also a phrase that shows up in search lists for this brand. We could not find that phrase promised on the label. The full label says nothing about being stimulant free. It simply prints five lines, and none of them is caffeine.

So the honest line is this. Where a panel prints no stimulant, you may call it stimulant free for that list. Where a panel prints a stimulant blend, you may not. And the panel on your bottle is the only one that applies.

Side by side

Which Memo Matrix list has stimulants and which does not?

Stimulant-related lines on each list, read October 13, 2026.

The second panel is the one to watch. It packs seven items into 151 mg. That means the caffeine in one capsule is below 151 mg, but the real figure is not published.

Full label

Does the full label add any stimulant at all?

It lists no caffeine, no theacrine and no theobromine. Its five lines are BCAAs, bacopa, rhodiola, L-theanine and Panax ginseng. None of them is sold as a caffeine source.

Even so, a plant extract can nudge sleep or energy in some people. Panax ginseng is linked to trouble sleeping (NCCIH, Asian Ginseng). Rhodiola is reported to add to the effect of stimulants, including coffee and energy drinks (MSKCC, Rhodiola), and can cause headache or dizziness (NCCIH, Rhodiola). So "no caffeine" is not the same as "no effect on how wired you feel."

L-theanine, in contrast, is an amino acid from tea that is studied for calm focus. It may add to the drowsiness of sedatives. Its presence on the full label does not cancel the other lines.

Second panel

What stimulants are on the second panel?

  • Caffeine from green coffee bean: the best known stimulant. Effects vary a lot between people.
  • Theacrine and theobromine: two compounds related to caffeine. We reviewed no source on them, so we make no claim about what they do here.
  • L-tyrosine: an amino acid. We also made no review of it.
  • Huperzine A: not a stimulant in the coffee sense, but it acts on the enzyme that clears acetylcholine, as donepezil does (MSKCC, Huperzia serrata).

The FDA says that for healthy adults, up to 400 mg of caffeine a day is not generally linked to dangerous effects, yet sensitivity varies a lot (FDA, How much caffeine is too much?). Some medicines and some health conditions call for less. Because the second panel prints no caffeine amount, you cannot count it against that 400 mg.

Who should care

Who should take extra care with a stimulant blend?

People who already feel jittery on one cup of coffee are the first group. People who sleep badly are the next. Anyone with heart rhythm worries, high blood pressure or anxiety should ask a doctor before trying any product that lists caffeine.

Medicine matters as well. Rhodiola and the caffeine on one panel may interact with blood pressure medicine and antidepressants. Huperzine A may stack with memory drugs. A pharmacist can read the bottle and your medicine list together.

Signs of too much

A pounding heart that does not settle, shaky hands, fainting or a bad headache are reasons to stop and call your doctor the same day. Sudden confusion or slurred speech can be a stroke. Call 911 (CDC, Stroke signs).

Your bottle

How can you check your bottle in a minute?

  1. Turn the bottle and find the box titled Supplement Facts.
  2. Read the serving size. 2 capsules means the full label. 1 capsule means the second panel.
  3. Check the first line. Branched Chain Amino Acids 540 mg is the full label. Vitamin B1 6 mg is the second panel.
  4. Look for the words "Proprietary Blend" and for caffeine, theacrine or Huperzia serrata.
  5. If your panel matches neither list, do not start. Phone the order desk, +1 (919) 991-9391, and quote your order ID.

Take a clear photo of the panel while you are at it. It helps if you need to show a doctor later.

A careful plan

How should you take it if you are sensitive?

There is no official guide for this. The steps below are common sense, not medical advice.

  • Keep your coffee and tea steady for the first weeks, so you can tell what causes a change.
  • If your panel lists caffeine, take the serving early in the day.
  • Count all caffeine sources: coffee, tea, cola and energy drinks.
  • Stop and call your doctor if you feel unwell. A bottle does not have to be finished.

MemoMatrix is a dietary supplement. It is not FDA approved, and no supplement is. It does not treat memory loss or any disease. Alert is not the same as remembering. A stimulant can make you feel sharp for a while without adding to memory. For more, see our post on caffeine in memory supplements.

  • The serving size tells you which panel you hold.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Memo Matrix stimulant free?

The full label lists no caffeine or stimulant lines. A second panel lists caffeine, theacrine and theobromine in a 151 mg blend. Your own bottle decides.

Does Memo Matrix have caffeine?

Only the second panel does, from green coffee bean, with no amount printed. The full label lists none.

How much caffeine is in a Memo Matrix capsule?

Not published. The whole blend weighs 151 mg and holds seven items, so the caffeine must be less than that.

Can Memo Matrix keep me awake?

It might. Panax ginseng and rhodiola have been linked to trouble sleeping, and one panel lists caffeine. Take it early in the day if your panel lists caffeine.

Is Memo Matrix safe for people sensitive to caffeine?

Ask a doctor first. If your bottle carries the panel with caffeine and no amount is printed, you cannot judge the dose.

Is theacrine a stimulant?

It is related to caffeine. We reviewed no source on it, so we make no claim about what it does here.

Our view

Our view

If you want a product with no stimulant, the full label is the closest match we can see, because it prints five plain lines and none is caffeine. We would still call it "no caffeine listed," not "stimulant free," since the brand does not use the second phrase.

The second panel asks for trust it has not earned, because it hides the numbers that matter most to a sensitive person. Check your bottle, take a photo and ask the desk if you are unsure. Then decide with your doctor.
